- Ask in plain words, get answers from the shelf. What a competitor keeps paying for, what they just stopped, which of your ads is carrying the account. Ady answers with real ads, real run days and the date each brand was checked.
- Ady suggests; you decide. A pause, a budget change, an edited headline or a new paused ad arrives as a card. Nothing happens until you press Confirm, and the card is checked against Meta again at that moment.
- It gets better when you teach it. Tell Ady about your brand once (what you sell, who buys, the claims you can’t make, your target cost per purchase) and every answer is fitted to it.
Adshelf has always had an owl. It sits on the shelf with its glasses on, and it has quietly read every ad we archive. Today it talks. Ady is the AI analyst built into the Adshelf dashboard: ask it about any brand on the shelf, or about your own Meta ads, in plain words, and it answers from the data instead of from a guess.
What you can ask Ady
Ady can use every tool our Claude and ChatGPT connector has, from inside the dashboard. That covers the whole shelf (every tracked brand, every ad we have kept, with run dates) and, once you connect it, your own ad account. A few questions people ask on day one:
- "What did my starred brands launch this week, and what did they stop?" The week in three numbers per brand, with the dates they cover.
- "Tear down the strongest brand in my category." The ads they have kept paying for longest, the angles and formats they bet on, and two ideas to test.
- "How are my ads doing?" What is carrying the account, what is wasting money, and the one change to make first.
- "What gaps exist in my vertical?" Which lanes are crowded, which look thin, and how sure Ady is.
Every count Ady gives you says where it came from and when. Results from your ad account are labelled as what Meta reports, never presented as store revenue.
A real answer, trimmed
Here is part of what Ady said when we asked it about gaps in prenatal vitamins (Meta Ad Library data on the Adshelf shelf, as of October 28, 2026):
Crowded, so a weak place to compete. Clean ingredients: Perelel’s “Prenatals Without the Junk” has many ads running 148 to 204 days, and Needed’s “Rethink Your Prenatal” runs 140 to 225 days. Clinical proof is crowded too.
Possible gaps, with caveats. Preconception and trying-to-conceive: only one brand turned up leading with it. Trimester-by-trimester messaging: one brand has run it for about 190 days, and nobody else is doing it.
What it hadn’t checked yet, it said so, and offered to look next.
Two things to notice. The answer is built on run length, the one public signal that separates the ads a brand keeps paying for from the tests it killed. And it tells you what it doesn’t know, which is what you want from an analyst before you spend money on its advice.
Ady suggests. You confirm.
Ady can act on your ad account, but never on its own. When an answer ends in a change (pause this ad, raise that budget to $300 a day, fix a typo in a headline, build a paused ad from a competitor’s angle), the change arrives as a card in the chat that says exactly what will happen. Nothing happens until you press Confirm.
- The card is the change. The click applies exactly what the card shows, and nothing it doesn’t.
- Checked again at the click. If the ad, the budget or the ad account changed since the card was made, nothing happens and Ady asks you to look again.
- Budget guardrails stay on. A big one-step raise, a deep cut, or raises that add up past your daily ceiling are spelled out on the card before you confirm.
- New things are paused. A new ad or a copy lands paused. Nothing spends until you turn it on.
Teach Ady your brand
An analyst who doesn’t know your business gives generic advice. So Ady has a brand brief: a few sentences on what you sell, who buys, your prices and how deep you’ll discount, your target cost per purchase, your voice, the claims you can’t make and the competitors that matter. Write it in Settings, under Ady, or ask Ady to draft one from your own ads and your starred brands, then correct it. Tell Ady “remember that our target CPA is $28” in a chat and it updates the brief itself. Ady reads it before every answer, and it will not suggest copy that breaks a claim you have ruled out.
Where Ady lives
Ady sits at the top of This Week, and in a side panel on every other page, so you can ask about a campaign while you are looking at it. On a phone it opens full screen. Your past chats are kept for your workspace, and teammates on your plan share them.
Plans
Ady comes with the Founder, Growth and Agency plans. Every new account starts with a 14-day trial with no card, and the trial includes Ady credits so you can try it on your own account. The free Weekly Edition keeps the whole shelf readable in the dashboard and through your own AI; Ady is part of the paid plans. See the plans.
